A Practical High School Guide to Creative, Persuasive, Informative, Reflective and Extended Writing
This Writing unit is a practical high school writing program designed to help students build confidence across a range of writing styles, including creative, narrative, descriptive, persuasive, informative, reflective, report, essay, poetry, journal, letter, email and script writing.
Students learn how purpose, audience, structure, vocabulary, planning, drafting and editing all work together to create stronger writing. The unit is designed to be flexible for Years 7–10+, with support for reluctant writers and extension options for more capable students. By the end of the unit, students will have a polished writing portfolio with completed writing pieces, drafts, planning pages, reflections and optional creative presentation work.
