Your child is unique - their curriculum should be too!
Starting homeschooling doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With the right support & a curriculum that serves your family, you’ll be set up & ready for the fun part in no time!
At Happy Days Homeschooling, we don’t think it’s our place to tell you how you should teach your children. Instead, you tell us how you want your curriculum to be built, and we’ll do it for you. Fully aligned to the Australian Curriculum, all while maintaining customisation and adaptation to your child’s unique learning styles and interests & your family values.
The Process
Your journey begins with a one-on-one consultation with the founder of Happy Days Homeschooling, Bek. During this consultation, you’ll discuss your family’s needs, values, and vision for learning while receiving personalised, professional guidance.

We then build a curriculum designed to meet all national outcomes, aligned with the Australian Curriculum & state requirements, designed to make your homeschool registration straightforward. You will receive all the core subjects - including your choice of textbooks, online subscriptions or hands-on units. Families also receive student journals, display folders, a stationery kit and a parent organisation pack — all delivered to your door, ensuring you have everything you need for an engaging and peaceful year of learning.
Deep Dive
In addition to the core subjects (maths, english, science, history, geography, health & art), your child will also receive their choice of interest-based elective units. These units are aimed to make learning more meaningful while bringing natural interests into their homeschool curriculum.
Interest-Based Elective Units
“Your vision, built & customised, delivered to your door.”
A practical high school Bible Study and Ministry unit that combines careful Scripture study, Christian reflection, creative communication and hands-on ministry practice. Students study Bible passages and selected questions Jesus asked, use cross-references and word studies, seek mature Christian review, and apply learning through real ministry-style projects. Final portfolio pieces may include a Bible study method card, Canva ministry flyer, Bible story teaching plan, devotional talk, service project, scenario cards, interview notes and a mini ministry event plan.
Behind the Scenes of Musical Theatre is a hands-on early high school production unit that helps students understand how a musical moves from an idea to a finished performance. Rather than focusing only on acting, students explore the creative, technical and organisational work that happens behind the curtain, including directing, set design, costume planning, lighting, sound, stage management, marketing and front of house. The unit is practical and portfolio-driven, with each lesson producing visible work that can be explained, photographed, refined and shared.
Students begin by investigating how a real production team works, then develop their own musical theatre concept with a director’s vision, scene breakdown and blocking plan. They design a stage space, build a simple 3D set model, create costume concept boards, plan lighting and sound cues, prepare stage management documents and design promotional materials for an audience. Along the way, they use theatre vocabulary, visual design, problem-solving, communication and planning skills in purposeful ways.
The final outcome is a complete production pack or showcase that brings together the student’s strongest work, including their concept, role research, set and costume designs, cue sheets, rehearsal planning, marketing materials and final reflection. This unit supports Drama, Visual Arts, Media Arts, English, digital literacy and presentation skills while giving students a realistic understanding of how creative teams collaborate to make a musical succeed.

A Children’s Book Writing Mini Unit that turns your child into a real author — not just a writer. Designed for late primary through high school, this hands-on, highly engaging unit walks students through the full journey of creating, designing, and publishing their own children’s book from start to finish.
Students don’t just “write a story” — they build something real. From developing unique characters and crafting engaging plots, to experimenting with descriptive language, illustration styles, and page layout, every step is purposeful and creative. They will design a professional book cover, write a compelling blurb, format their pages, and explore simple publishing options to bring their book to life in a polished, tangible way.
This unit blends English, Art, Digital Technologies, and Business skills seamlessly, encouraging creativity, confidence, and real-world application. With clear, step-by-step guidance and meaningful project outcomes, students finish with a portfolio-ready, print-worthy children’s book they can proudly share with family, friends, or even sell at a market.
