A creative, project-based Visual Arts curriculum designed to make art engaging, meaningful and achievable for Grade 7 students. Across 108 pages and 8 major projects, students explore sculpture, relief and assemblage, painting, found-object art, wire sculpture, papier-mâché, chalk pastel and mixed media.
Students are inspired by real Australian gallery collections, while learning how artists use colour, form, texture, composition, materials and meaning. Each project includes engaging reading pages, technique and materials guides, achievable examples, student choice, planning templates, practical making and an artist statement/reflection.
Designed for homeschool families, the curriculum follows a simple rhythm of 2 projects per term, with approximately 4–5 weeks per project, and is aligned with the Australian Curriculum v9 Visual Arts Years 7–8 band.
